The Therapeutic Recreation Department is dedicated to enhancing residents' quality of life through a wide variety of engaging programs offered individually, in small groups, and in larger community settings. Activities include live music, games (such as bingo, trivia, and cards), exercise classes, gardening, crafts, movies, pet therapy, intergenerational events, and community outings.
The Director of Therapeutic Recreation creates a monthly calendar of activities, special events, and programs. Calendars are delivered to each resident’s room and posted throughout the facility for easy reference.
To ensure activities reflect each resident’s interests and abilities, our staff completes an activities assessment upon admission. This assessment helps guide the development of personalized recreation plans that promote engagement, enjoyment, and well-being.
